Base Pay starting at $16.50/hour with additional shift differential for evenings and weekends (equates to average pay of $18/hr). Full-time or part-time will be considered. Relocation Assistance available.

Our dynamic team at Intermountain Residential is hiring Behavior Support Specialists to provide support to children using relational, social and communication skills. Training and supervision in our developmental relational model utilizing trauma-informed care will be provided on the job.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing effective strategies for addressing challenging behaviors
  • Monitoring and documenting client progress
  • Providing support and guidance to clients and their families
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure client success
  • Rebuild and maintain relationships with our children through a relational development model

Qualifications:

  • 19 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Enthusiastic about working with children who need a helping hand
  • Love of playing outside
  • Motivated and energized
  • Strong ability to collaborate and problem solve with a team
  • Able to give and receive feedback professionally
  • Empathetic and a good listener

A day on the job looks like:

  • Never the same, you won’t be bored
  • Providing exceptional support to kids with big feelings while encouraging and reinforcing safe expression of their feelings
  • Taking initiative to collaborate with team members to learn and provide therapeutic opportunities to kids
  • Playing, having fun and being creative with children
  • Household tasks: cooking, cleaning, organizing, laundry and more
  • Training and guidance from experienced staff
