Job Description: Community Coordinator (Part-Time)

Location: Maryland (3 Specific Counties: Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot)

Position Summary:
Step into a dynamic role as a Community Coordinator at Backpack Healthcare, where you'll lead our expansion efforts in the vibrant communities of Virginia You'll be the face of our organization, spreading the word about our fantastic services, scouting exciting RFP opportunities, coordinating essential referrals, and engaging meaningfully with the community. Get ready to be in the field 75% of the time, making real connections and leaving a positive mark in Richmond, Caroline & Essex counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spread the Excitement: Fuel enthusiasm for Backpack Healthcare's mission and services across your counties. Design and execute creative outreach strategies to get people talking and involved.
  • Chase the Opportunities: Find and pursue RFPs that align with our services. Collaborate with our amazing team to craft compelling proposals.
  • Coordinate with Flair: Streamline referrals and assist clients with scheduling appointments while ensuring follow-ups are smooth and efficient.
  • Assess with Insight: Conduct engaging Backpack Healthcare assessments to determine service needs and eligibility. Accurately document your findings while maintaining our high standards.
  • Host and Shine: Organize and participate in lively community events, health fairs, and outreach programs to showcase Backpack Healthcare. Build strong relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and potential clients.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience or knowledge in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or related fields is preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Proven track record in community outreach or healthcare coordination.
  • Insight into healthcare systems, social services, and community resources.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a talent for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks with ease.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Compensation:
$15 per hour, plus exciting performance-based bonuses.
