Work Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm


Salary Range: $40,000 to $50,00 per year based on experience

Overview:


As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House by spearheading initiatives that enhance community engagement, program management, and client support. You will be at the forefront of building bridges between our organization and our diverse communities, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to effectively engage with residents, community organizations, and stakeholders to foster meaningful relationships and partnerships.
  • Public Housing Client Engagement: Will be the main contact with the Cambridge Housing Authority in assisting residents..
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Client Support: Provide compassionate and culturally competent support to individuals and families accessing services, connecting them with resources, and advocating when needed.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for community members, effectively communicating the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House's mission, values, and services through various channels.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to identify emerging needs and opportunities within the community and develop innovative solutions and programming to address them.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records and data on community engagement activities, program outcomes, and client interactions, utilizing this information to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Community/Organizational Event Development and Support: Will assist with the development and implementation of special events (Port Community Pride Day, Annual Turkey and Food Drive, Annual Holiday Gift Drive, Annual Gala, and other special events)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred and not required).
  • Proven experience in community engagement, program management, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for empowering marginalized communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems.
