RoadBlock Solutions, a division of RSG International, is a leading provider and distributor of innovative safety products aimed at keeping roads, work zones, and people safe. We sell and rent a variety of road safety devices for the North American infrastructure market.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Business Development Manager (New England), will play a key role in driving revenue growth by expanding our customer base and promoting our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within the construction industry, and a strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

*** NOTE: This is a remote based/home office role that will require extensive travel throughout MA, CT, NH, VT, etc. ***

Responsibilities
  • Research and target potential clients and market segments to generate new leads.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through proactive prospecting and networking efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to implement strategies for acquiring new customers.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to understand clients' needs and promote relevant products and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering solutions to meet their construction needs.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals by effectively selling company products and services.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close sales and secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
  • Analyze customer feedback and market data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance product offerings and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, insights, and market intelligence to drive overall company success.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Must reside near a major city in the New England market.
  • Must have experience in managing a multi-state territory.
  • 5+ years of experience, with proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the construction industry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction products and services required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Department of Transportation hierarchy and how to navigate an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive for achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Must be a superstar relationship builder.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in our CRM, HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
