Position Summary:

The Associate, Partnership Sales is an entry-level role that supports the partnership sales team in driving revenue growth through the acquisition of strategic partnerships and sponsorships for Spartan Race events. This position requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for sales and marketing, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of partnership sales strategies to identify and secure new partnerships and sponsorships for Spartan Race events.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential partners and strategic opportunities.
  • Support the partnership sales team in building and nurturing a pipeline of potential partners.
  • Help create and customize proposals and pitches that align with partner goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the sales process, including initial outreach, prospecting, and follow-up communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and fulfillment of partner commitments.
  • Help prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential partners.
  • Support negotiations of partnership agreements, terms, and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market insights to inform partnership strategies.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to track progress.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and identify new business opportunities.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in sales, marketing, business development, or related roles is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of sales and negotiation principles.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM and sales software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated, with a passion for exceeding goals and targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment.

Abilities:

  • Work closely with a team of partnership sales professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.
  • Identify and prioritize potential partnership opportunities based on research and analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, supporting negotiation efforts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Think creatively to contribute to the development of compelling partnership proposals and pitches.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to support sales strategies and decisions.
  • Adapt to changing partner needs and market trends.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to partners, aiming to exceed expectations.
