The Christian Business Partnership (Partnership) Assistant Director supports the Partnership’s advocacy; recruitment, onboarding, and retention of members; and the management of member accounts and benefits, vendor relations, and the Partnership’s communications strategy.
Reports to: Christian Business Partnership Executive Director
Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: Competitive (exempt) salary commensurate with experience
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Director in developing and advancing legislative priorities.
- Communicate, as needed, with legislators and representatives of executive offices, agencies, and departments to advance the Partnership’s policy agenda and policy interests of Partnership members.
- Track legislation, court cases, and proposed rules that affect Partnership policy goals and members’ interests.
- Assist with the management of the membership and benefits onboarding pipeline.
- Support the development and implementation of Partnership events, in conjunction with the Communications and Events departments.
- Manage the Partnership’s relationships with benefit vendors.
- Clear and timely communication to member questions about and issues with the benefits offered by the Partnership.
- Partner with the Communications department to ensure Partnership’s website and other communications are up to date.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of Ohio legislative experience
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, able and willing to operate on a schedule, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellence.
- Detail oriented, able to prioritize deadline goals without immediate or constant supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to communicate effectively, thoroughly, and accurately.
- Strong interest in and familiarity with public policy, especially related to issues relevant to the interests of Christian-owned small and mid-sized businesses.
- Professional demeanor with a client/constituent relationship focus.
- Internet research and data-mining skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and Google platforms.
- Proficiency in platforms like Virtuous and GrowthZone.
- Willing to travel for and work overtime for events and meetings from time to time.
Character and Spiritual
- Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
- Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s and the Partnership’s mission and position on Core Issues.
- Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
