Assistant Director, Anesthesiologist Assistant Program

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Director for the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program at Ohio Dominican University. This is a 12-month, non-tenure position that combines faculty and administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the didactic and clinical phases of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the recruitment of students and participate in the interview and application process.
- Establish criteria for admissions, curriculum content, and performance criteria for students in conjunction with the Program Director, AA faculty, and staff.
- Identify areas of budgetary need and allocate resources.
- Interact with faculty and administration to promote the Program's goals and academic development.
- Oversee and recommend appropriate Information Technology to enhance faculty and student experiences.
- Provide leadership for the formulation and revision of policies, procedures, and objectives for the Program.
- Assist in the development and administration of course assessments, summative evaluations, and practical comprehensive exams.
- Participate in teaching responsibilities and serve as course coordinator or co-coordinator of courses in the Program.
- Maintain student and administrative records and participate in local and national organizations to ensure Program excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience as an Anesthesiologist Assistant or a physician. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required, as well as a collaborative approach to education and clinical medicine. The successful candidate will display a willingness to support the University's Catholic and Dominican identity and mission.
