The Marketing Communications Specialist helps guide strategic corporate, brand, and service line-level communications in accordance with Hope Network’s broader business goals, mission, and vision. Primary responsibilities include: Develop comprehensive communication strategies, oversee social media, and manage internal and external messaging. Collaborating cross-functionally, the role involves crafting engaging content for various channels and business areas, including public relations, marketing and brand communications, website content, and corporate communications both internal and external.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of job functions. This job description is in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. The employee is required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties as assigned.

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for guiding and executing communications across a diverse range of project categories, including:

  1. Marketing and Brand Communications: Responsible for creative writing and editing of communications, including: brand positioning, campaign creative development and deployment strategy, website content, fliers, brochures, marketing collateral, video and radio scripts, print, digital, and out-of-home advertising, etc.
  2. Public Relations: Working in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and approved external Public Relations vendors, the role informs strategy and develops public relations content, including press releases, media notifications and public statements, for both crisis response and brand storytelling opportunities.
  3. CEO and Board Communications: Assist with speech writing and editing for Board communication and public appearances. This can also include leadership opinion/editorial articles to ensure the organizational message is consistently represented.
  4. Social Media: Manage the content, growth, and analytics of Hope Network’s social media channels, including paid advertisements and organic posts. The person in this role stays up to date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and trends and conducts research on industry-related topics to generate ideas for content creation.
  5. Corporate Communications: Collaborates with corporate leadership and service line leaders to position and craft clear, compelling, and consistent messaging that aligns with strategic business goals or client needs. Audiences cover both internal and external, including employee segments or the full workforce, external partners, or Hope Network clients and their families or guardians.
  6. Work with the Marketing Team to develop strategies that relate to Hope Network’s brand and message to specific audiences.
  7. Concept ideas with creative team and leadership to support marketing and business challenges and opportunities.
  8. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the role.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Must have an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, English, Journalism, or other related field.
  2. Must have a minimum of four years experience in marketing, promotional, brand writing, and content development.
  3. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as it relates to Hope Network policy.
  4. Ability to understand complex principles, strategies and information for a wide range of targeted audiences, and in turn translate it into consumer-friendly content.
  5. Proven ability to be a professional, autonomous, and results-driven team player.
  6. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize projects, and work solidly under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
