Position Overview: The Business Development Manager is a strategic role aimed at spearheading corporate growth and enhancing profitability through the identification, development, and realization of new business opportunities. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of federal government contracting, particularly within the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), and the Department of Energy (DOE) labs. With a focus on maintaining strong customer and industry relationships, conducting competitive analyses, and developing effective win strategies, the Business Development Manager will navigate the capture process to successfully close deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, guiding them from inception to deal closure.
- Foster strong relationships with customers and industry partners, understanding and aligning with their priorities and requirements.
- Engage in competitive analysis and strategy development to position TMC as a leader in relevant markets.
- Craft compelling responses to RFIs and other solicitation documents, showcasing TMC's capabilities and advantages.
- Demonstrate strategic business acumen in pursuit decisions, optimizing capture strategies and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Established connections within USAMRAA and familiarity with WRAIR and DOE lab communities.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of capturing opportunities and driving growth.
- Deep knowledge of federal government contracting, acquisition trends, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional skills in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to develop comprehensive capture artifacts.
