We are excited to be looking for a Product Compliance Specialist to join SEON’s legal and compliance team to help us create a fraud-free world by researching regulatory compliance requirements and supporting SEON’s internal product teams in developing new and innovative products and services. As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will work as part of the Legal and Compliance team while working collaboratively with other teams across SEON, such as Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing and our external legal ecosystem.

What you’ll do:
  • Monitor, interpret, and advise on product-related laws, regulations, standards and industry best practices, impacting SEON’s products and planned features, including but not limited to AML/CTF, iGaming, ID Verification and Biometric data processing;
  • Leverage your technical and regulatory acumen to integrate compliance into our processes and regulations;
  • Stay updated on industry-relevant regulatory changes and keep in touch with external parties (such as consultancy firms, auditor firms, testing laboratories) to ensure compliance;
  • Become a bridge between regulatory compliance and software development: Map regulatory requirements with technical measures;
  • Embed product compliance into existing or new processes and systems, proactively identifying and resolving compliance-related matters;
  • Act as a SPOC toward our internal product teams;
  • Provide essential contributions and input to crucial product decisions for SEON’s executive team;
  • Coordinate external compliance audits and provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders;
  • Become a contact person for product notifications, approvals, licensing and quality testing results with government or regulatory agencies;
  • Manage and maintain product compliance data and documentation (e.g. product decision records, requirement mapping matrices), drive data improvements, and ensure accessibility for relevant stakeholders;
  • Assist in applications for compliance certification and regulatory approval (E.g., iGaming permits);
  • Research and monitor SaaS/Software industry compliance requirements (relevant regulations, standards, frameworks).

What you'll bring

You’ll be a strong communicator with a technical background. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, assessing existing and new draft regulations, consulting with internal teams, and sharing knowledge externally, which are vital responsibilities. Analytical and investigative skills, understanding complex theoretical relationships, and summarising the findings in the easiest way are essential for decision-making.

You will be comfortable adapting to the evolving regulatory environment and willing to develop the role in line with the the constantly changing boundaries of laws.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., software engineering, business information systems, regulatory compliance);
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a SaaS environment, with technical insight and affinity;
  • Proficient in interpreting and simplifying complex information, multitasking, and effectively communicating product requirements to stakeholders;
  • The following qualities apply to you: flexible, hands-on, solution-focused, attention to detail, collaborative, solution-focused, and analytical;
  • Be able to communicate in English fluently.
