Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the BDR will play a critical role in driving our business growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and generating qualified leads for our sales team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the organization and develop a career in sales and business development.

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and generate new business leads through various channels, including LinkedIn, email, phone, and social media.
    • Utilize lead generation tools to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
    • Conduct outreach to potential clients to introduce Avex's services and schedule meetings.
  • Lead Qualification and Nurturing:
    • Qualify inbound leads via email and phone, ensuring they meet the criteria for further engagement.
    • Nurture relationships with prospects by providing relevant information and resources.
  • Sales Support:
    • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development and sales team to support the sales process.
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system (HubSpot).
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
    • Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to inform lead generation strategies.
  • Networking and Relationship Building:
    • Build relationships with partners, consultants, and SaaS companies to identify new business opportunities.
    • Attend industry events and conferences to represent Avex and build a network of potential clients.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within the eCommerce or digital agency industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage potential clients.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and lead generation tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the Shopify space is preferred.
