  • Provide ongoing product counseling for new features for a variety of company's Products including updates to our Reels video platform, media creation tools, and recommendation systems.
  • Support the launch of new products by providing policy guidance on issues ranging from safety to fairness to human rights.
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues that affect these products at the state, national, and international levels in partnership with the Company's Public Policy team.
  • Identify new policy development needs, draft policies, and work with operations teams to build enforcement flows as needed for product features.
  • Address escalations and press inquiries related to supported products.
  • Work across multiple lines of businesses including policy functions to establish a consistent policy approach.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Legal, Political Science, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in tech (product dev), policy, law, media, government, or journalism with an emphasis on products, technology, media regulation, and/or news publishing.
  • Experience with product development lifecycle and product teams.
  • Experience with algorithmic transparency issues.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and consensus-building, including managing multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Legal, Political Science, or a similar field.
  • 3+ experience in or working with the technology industry.
  • Experience working on or with online products including messaging and video broadcasting platforms.
  • Experience with policy development and/or policy counseling.
  • Experience with providing policy risk assessment on new products.
  • Experience dealing with escalations and/or time-sensitive issues.
