Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Oversee planning, design, and construction administration of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Example: Lead projects involving the design of advanced water treatment facilities and innovative stormwater management systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including locally elected officials, service providers, and state administrators.
- Example: Partner with city officials to deliver efficient, fiscally responsible solutions.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to design water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Example: Create detailed designs for municipal wastewater treatment plants and stormwater drainage systems.
- Manage construction processes to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
- Example: Oversee the construction of a major water distribution network, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Apply knowledge of hydraulic, hydrologic, and stormwater management principles to develop effective solutions.
- Example: Implement hydraulic modeling for flood mitigation projects.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Example: Present detailed project progress reports to stakeholders at quarterly meetings.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Minimum of 5 years in the design and construction administration of water utility and wastewater utility infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to plan project resources, maintain schedules, and manage budgets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
