Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
  • Oversee planning, design, and construction administration of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Example: Lead projects involving the design of advanced water treatment facilities and innovative stormwater management systems.
Client Interaction:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including locally elected officials, service providers, and state administrators.
  • Example: Partner with city officials to deliver efficient, fiscally responsible solutions.
Design Work:
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to design water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Example: Create detailed designs for municipal wastewater treatment plants and stormwater drainage systems.
Construction Administration:
  • Manage construction processes to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
  • Example: Oversee the construction of a major water distribution network, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
Technical Expertise:
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulic, hydrologic, and stormwater management principles to develop effective solutions.
  • Example: Implement hydraulic modeling for flood mitigation projects.
Documentation:
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Example: Present detailed project progress reports to stakeholders at quarterly meetings.


Requirements
  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Certification:
  • Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in the design and construction administration of water utility and wastewater utility infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills:
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Time Management:
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Project Planning:
  • Ability to plan project resources, maintain schedules, and manage budgets.
