Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to become a vital part of the Trilon Group. Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee the engineering design of potable water distribution and/or wastewater collection systems, and support the design of treatment facilities for both wastewater and drinking water.
  • Evaluate the necessity for drinking water and/or wastewater treatment systems based on current and anticipated population growth and development needs; perform feasibility assessments for the establishment of public utility infrastructure to address identified requirements.
  • Conduct analyses or assist in the evaluation of various water and/or wastewater treatment technologies, recommending the most efficient solutions.
  • Draft and develop specifications for assigned engineering projects.
  • Carry out feasibility studies and related analyses concerning the collection, treatment, or distribution of water or wastewater, and compile comprehensive technical reports.
  • Offer technical assistance and subject matter expertise to clients on issues related to water resources.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on requests for qualifications (RFQs), presentations, and project scoping.
  • Mentor and train junior engineering staff.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer certification is required.
  • Preferred experience in designing water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, either partially or fully.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public infrastructure projects within the Water Resources sector.
  • Experience completing projects across multiple states is essential.
  • Proven project and/or client management experience is necessary.
  • Ability to guide junior engineers while also engaging in the design and detailing of various small- to large-scale multi-discipline water/wastewater projects of varying complexity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • A strong sense of urgency and self-motivation to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • A detail-oriented team player who contributes positively to the work environment.
