ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources department, responsible for managing a variety of HR tasks to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the organization. This role requires a versatile individual who can handle multiple HR functions, ranging from talent management to employee relations and compliance.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
Administration:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial employment laws in both the United States and Canada.
- Conduct audits and investigations to ensure adherence to company policies and legal standards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential team member records.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making.
- Handle and oversee the day to day administrative tasks.
- Process HR-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, leave requests, and termination documentation.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as policy development, HRIS implementation, and process improvement.
- Reporting and Data Analytics
- Oversee and manage HR inbox
- Perform employment verification requests
- Assist fellow HR team members with various tasks and projects as needed
Team Member Relations:
- Address team member concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve team member retention.
- Provide support and guidance to team members on HR-related matters.
- Serve as a liaison between team members and management to address workplace concerns and resolve conflicts.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
ABOUT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is in office at our corporate headquarters in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida with the expectations of business travel as needed to our various work site locations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
