If so, we want to hear from you   In this position, you will be part of a global team performing HR-related duties on a professional level in support of our Miami location.  As an onsite “HR department of one” you will be responsible for the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, Training and Development, and employment law compliance.  In addition, you will work closely with corporate HR staff to administer site needs regarding benefits administration, payroll, and HRIS.

Since its inception, QPS has been assisting pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies with their drug development efforts by providing a full range of services, including Early Phase Clinical and Phase II – IV Clinical Research services. The QPS location in Miami, Florida is a multi-specialty research center employing clinical research professionals, including board-certified physicians, in a 32,000 square foot space. The Job

  • Address basic employee relations issues, such as policy questions and general HR procedures, referring more complex issues (such as harassment allegations and working conditions complaints) to senior HR personnel.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for all personnel needs for site, to include sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, extending contingent offers, generating offer documentation, completing pre-employment screenings, and completing post-hire processing, as well as maintaining ADP recruitment module.
  • Develop a general understanding of all Specialty areas and be able to address general employee questions and/or resolve basic issues, referring more complex issues to the HR team member assigned that Specialty.
  • Participate in employee counseling sessions regarding policy violations and career development.
  • Participate in meetings to advise supervisors/managers regarding employee performance issues and policy interpretations. 

Requirements

  • Combination of relevant education & experience that provides sufficient knowledge & skills to ensure success in this role, such as:
    1. High School Diploma
    2. Demonstrated experience in prior HR Generalist role
    3. Demonstrated experience administering HR modules in ADP (full usage preferred)
  • HR experience in a clinical environment a plus
