Job Responsibilities


The Emergency Department Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided in the Emergency Department. The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care. The Manager assists the Admin Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures, and the financial management of the Unit.




Qualifications


  • Texas State RN license or compact licenses are required.
  • BSN required.
  • BLS and is ACLS required by AHA or ARC.
  • PALS or Eis NPC is required within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within 18 months of hire.
  • Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) is encouraged.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience, 2 years management experience preferred in an acute care settinFTEsAdditional Information
