Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, growth-minded Digital Manager to enhance our digital resources and advance the mission of the Covenant. This role combines web development, digital media management, social media management, and video production, requiring knowledge of current web technologies, video production, and best practices. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative thinker capable of delivering high-quality web designs, social media strategies, and video content. This position requires a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

· Website Maintenance:

o Strategize with the Digital Director to plan, develop, and maintain the organization’s websites, enhancing awareness and engagement with the Covenant.

o Assist in designing, posting, and uploading new and updated web content to various denominational websites.

o Monitor and maintain visual quality and consistency across the organization’s online presence. Create and implement plans for website enhancements to improve usability and effectiveness.

o Design images, icons, banners, and audio/video enhancements as needed.

o Consult and collaborate on web, mobile, and digital presence and maintenance.

· Social Media Management:

o Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads) to enhance brand awareness and engagement.

o Create engaging social content, including text, images, videos, and infographics, tailored to the specific audience and platform.

o Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and opportunities, responding to comments and messages promptly to foster a positive community and customer experience.

· Video Production:

o Participate in ideation sessions for video projects with the Marketing & Communications team, outside contractors, and other stakeholders.

o Create scripts and/or storyboards for video productions.

o Research and gather media assets from various online properties and archival sources.

o Operate cameras for multi-camera productions and web broadcasts. Compose and frame each shot, applying technical aspects of light and camera settings.

o Develop visual effects and source music, voiceover, photos, and graphics for video projects.

o Use editing software to complete video projects.

o Maintain an in-depth understanding of best practices and procedures for video production.

o Maintain and regularly inspect video camera equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition, and provide recommendations for improvements or necessary upgrades to keep up with current technology and production standards.

o Post and maintain videos on platforms like Vimeo, YouTube, and other social media outlets.

o Assist with the pre-/post-production elements of podcasts and share via various media outlets.

· General:

o Engage professionally and courteously in electronic, phone, and in-person communication with constituents. Develop, nurture, and maintain constituency relations.

o Work collaboratively with editorial, design, digital, and information services teams.

o Assess industry trends and cultural shifts, identifying trends and technologies to enhance interactive strategies.

o Develop and implement user feedback mechanisms.

o Maintain visual quality and consistency across the organization’s online presence.

o Communicate efficiently on project workload, priorities, and deadlines.

o Other duties as assigned by the Digital Director, Executive Director of Communications, and/or President’s Office.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or Graphic Design.

· Two to three years of experience in a similar role involving website maintenance, social media management, and/or video production.

· Proven experience in web development and maintenance, including familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.

· Demonstrated experience in managing and executing social media strategies across multiple platforms.

· Hands-on experience in video production, from concept through post-production, including scriptwriting, shooting, and editing.

Skills:

· Strong understanding of current Internet technologies, trends, and web and graphic design project processes.

· Proficient with Adobe Premiere or equivalent, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

· Proficient with audio production and postproduction.

· Familiarity with social media platforms and current best practices.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and timelines.

· Excellent project management and organizational skills in a high-volume production environment.

· Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to respond promptly to client needs.

· Excellent grammar, spelling, and creative skills.

· Team player with the ability to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.

· Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality.

· Continuous learner with a desire to expand expertise in new and emerging technologies.

· Strong management and people skills, embracing the diversity of schedules, backgrounds, formats, and contexts.

· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Environment Conditions:

· Able to work well in a professional office setting, from home, and on location. Occasional travel, including evenings and weekends.

· Must be versatile and able to work for prolonged segments sitting or standing.

· Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as computers, phones, web-conferencing equipment, and printers.

· Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 75 lbs.; use machinery to move boxes and crates. Occasionally pack and unpack, move, and lift cases containing video production equipment.
