THE POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across digital platforms to reach and engage thousands of communities worldwide. This role oversees cross-channel dissemination, ensuring coordinated and quality content on flagship social media platforms, websites, and email newsletters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the digital marketing manager plays an integral role on the Communications team and drives continuous improvement of CASEL’s digital presence and activities.

OPPORTUNITIES/EXPECTATIONS

The Digital Marketing Manager will:

  • Lead digital marketing strategies to achieve growth, engagement, and revenue targets:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote CASEL products, publications, professional services, conferences, webinars and other offerings.

    • Draft and design marketing materials and other promotional collateral.

    • Manage and optimize campaigns across various digital channels, including social media, email marketing, and paid advertising.

  • Social media management:

    • Oversee CASEL’s social media presence (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), including content planning, creation, posting, and community engagement.

    • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies to increase engagement and reach.

  • Website management:

    • Optimize CASEL’s website and microsites for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to update content and reflect organizational priorities, voice, and tone.

  • Email marketing:

  • Manage and grow email/newsletter contact lists and execute strategies to increase open rates and minimize opt-outs.

  • Support content development and execution of email marketing campaigns.

  • Analytics and reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to assess content performance and effectiveness.

  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The background and educational experience required for this position are:

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in communications, marketing, or related fields with demonstrated success at developing and executing effective digital marketing strategies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google workplace apps, and WordPress, and experienced with graphic design programs such as InDesign or Canva.

  • Adept at using social media (including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube) to build brand awareness and engagement.

  • Experience with email marketing services (such as Constant Contact) and social media scheduling tools is preferred.

  • Experience or interest in the education or youth development field is preferred.
