Job Description: As a Hedge Fund Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the investment operations of the hedge fund. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring accurate and efficient trade processing, reconciling trades and positions, monitoring cash flows, and collaborating with various teams to optimize operational processes. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of investment data, generating reports for stakeholders, and contributing to the development and implementation of operational strategies. Additionally, you will stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and reconcile trades across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Monitor and manage cash flows, ensuring proper funding for trades and managing liquidity needs.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and external counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure timely settlement.
- Maintain accurate investment data and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and mitigate operational risks.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives to support the broader goals of the investment operations team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in investment operations, preferably within a hedge fund or asset management firm.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and trade lifecycle.
- Proficiency in trade processing systems and investment management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to investment operations.
