DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primarily responsible for achieving the shop sales, conversion, retention, and dated-in numbers.
  • Is the primary source for winning new clients, creating a list of targets each week to call and visit.
  • Review every estimate to ensure each is written in-line with shop expectations.
  • Review every part order to ensure that it is in-line with the estimate.
  • Makes the final discount decisions, in-line with store profitability.
  • Negotiate repair costs and timelines with insurance adjusters, ensuring fair and accurate estimates.
  • Communicates with the Director at a minimum of twice per day regarding sales-related items.
  • Receive an updated list of customer vehicle delivery dates and provide them to the Estimators.
  • Strives to attain a 5-star shop service rating across all social media platforms.
  • Ensures that each member of the sales team is trained and remains current in their training.
  • Provides coaching on sales strategies to each Estimator, following Maaco brand scripts.
  • Must be on- call every Saturday from 8:30am to 12:30pm for Estimators to reach.
  • Hitting benchmark numbers consistently each week.
  • Responsible for adding/removing users to the SmartSafe and all cash/check management.
  • Ensures there is someone on-site at all times (including during lunch) and coordinates Saturday schedule.

ACTIVITIES:

  • Calling on local trade and fleet
  • Make list of customers who are past their “delivery date”
  • Review all part orders and provide credit card for approved orders
  • Holding regular team meeting with Estimators
  • Managing Estimator attendance & performance
  • Meeting/ Discussing vehicle status with Operations Manager (minimum of 3x/ day)
  • Conduct the final QC of fleet vehicles.

ATTENDANCE:

The workday commences 30 minutes before the store opens and concludes upon completion of all tasks and responsibilities (usually 10 hrs. a day). Additionally, the Sales Managers are obligated to be “on call” but not necessarily in-store, between 8:30 am to 12:30 PM on Saturdays. During periods of low store traffic, estimators will need to complete their activities lists. If you are on-call, all requirements for response while on-call apply: You must be available by phone, text message, and email, and be able to respond to any call(s) or message(s) within 30 minutes. You must remain free of the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, and avoid taking any prescription drugs that adversely affect the ability to safely and effectively perform your job duties. While on-call, you are not considered to be “on leave.”
