Job Summary:

This position requires a computer-savvy, detail oriented individual to assist with day-to-day operation of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies' fund development department. Working under the guidance of the Director of Advancement, and as an integral part of the Fund Development Team, this position plans and executes smaller meetings and events, and supports larger, more complex events designed to cultivate, recognize, educate and steward current and prospective donors. Additionally, this role will support the organization's donor stewardship processes, including letter writing, coordinating campaigns, and the creation and execution of monthly donor relations activities. Strong writing skills required. Local travel required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 Collaborate with Director of Advancement, Marketing Manager and Chief Executive Officer on meetings and events as determined by fundraising calendar and fundraising goals of the agency.

 Assist with day-to-day administrative duties of fund development department.

 Develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities, with guidance of Director.

 Produce donor acknowledgements and update tracking/reporting activities.

 Working in tandem with Executive Assistant, keep donor database updated, while respecting the privacy and confidentiality of donor information.

 Coordinate in-kind donations and issuing of receipts.

 Develop collateral and coordinate special projects and smaller events as it relates to fundraising and/or program activities.

 Coordinate donor stewardship processes with guidance of Director.

 Work with Executive Assistant to produce social media posts through graphics and video, spotlighting events, donors and volunteers.

 Attend pertinent meetings, trainings and conferences related to the position and as deemed by Supervisor.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Excellent interpersonal, relational, problem solving and communication skills; both verbal and written.

 Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage time effectively to meet established timelines for work completion.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Ability to present in small groups.

 Ability to work traditional and non-traditional hours.

 Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

 DonorPerfect or other donor database experience preferred.

Experience Required

 Minimum of 1 year of experience in fundraising, communications, marketing and/or media/public relations.


Educational Requirements

 Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or related field.
