Our client is a locally owned insurance agency located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  They pride themselves on the commitment to exceptional service and are seeking motivated and experienced Insurance Producers to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in sales, have a strong understanding of personal and/or commercial lines insurance, and are adept at client management and compliance. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously, contributing to our growth and success.


As a Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new insurance accounts. Your role will be crucial in meeting our service and sales standards with a focus on volume, timeliness, and quality. The Sales team play a key role in driving the growth of our business in our personal and commercial lines and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.


As an Insurance Producer, you will:

  • Prospect, quote, and sell new insurance accounts.
  • Handle referrals, pre-qualify prospects, and deliver sales presentations.
  • Complete insurance applications and educate clients about policies.
  • Document client information in Epic Software and request referrals.
  • Review and upgrade policies in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Support service staff and use various marketing strategies to attract new customers.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Epic Software and other CRM systems.
  • Relevant state insurance license(s) and certifications (or ability to obtain in 30 days).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to business development and client service.
