POSITION AVAILABLE: HR/Payroll Clerk

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt LOCATION: Athens, TX

REPORTS TO: HR Manager

Summary: Performs multiple tasks within the Human Resources department by performing the following duties. Will also assist multiple departments with special projects.



Responsibilities:

  • Payroll:
    • Assist HR department with weekly payroll process
    • Run reports using UltiPro and check punch accuracy daily; update as needed
    • Communicate with Supervisors and Managers regarding punch discrepancies
  • Maintain new hire personnel files for new hire orientation
  • Assist in new hire orientations
  • Responsible for keeping up with various excel spreadsheets and attendance notifications
  • Assist HR Manager in some employee needs
  • Assist Purchasing department with entering Receivables
  • Assist multiple departments with any special projects

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to multitask and have the ability to consistently follow best practices
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner is required
  • Must be detail oriented and perform with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to be proactive and display initiative
  • Ability to work as a team, and ability to work with all levels of management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of using office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners
  • Working knowledge of UKG or ADP is preferred, any payroll experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Navision ERP or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Sense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is also a requirement

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This is an entry-level position
