A great UHY client is seeking a Senior HR Manager to join their team. They are looking for someone who can partner and strategize with the local operations leadership and be a solid leader for the HR Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with strategy development, employee retention strategies, timing and verbiage for employee communications, and employee relations.
The Senior HR Manager role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Senior HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible to align corporate and functional strategies.
- Coach and consult employees and leaders on critical HR processes as needed (e.g., staffing initiatives, onboarding, performance management, development planning, rewards planning, policy interpretation); serve as a local extension to align corporate business strategies to ensure desired outcomes are met; Provide recommendations on day to day problems and issues.
- Bring site leaders together to drive a unified site people strategy that aligns with functional people strategies.
- Drive HR strategy for employee retention, development, planning, performance management, etc.
- Serve as a subject matter in employee relations to conduct investigations and lead cases to effective closure; advise managers on appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage payroll processing for the facility.
- Manage HR policies and procedures for a population of hourly and salaried employees.
- Subject matter expert in federal, state and local employment laws.
- Act as the liaison for employee relations.
- Lead HR related investigations.
- Advise management on employee related HR issues.
Senior HR Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong, credible HR resource to business leaders; comfortable challenging them as needed to drive the best outcomes for the organization.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment REQUIRED.
- Proven experience in employee relations REQUIRED.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Evidence of the ability to practice and coach managers with a high level of confidentiality
- PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
