Position Summary:

The Superintendent of Residential Re-Roofing projects is responsible for supervising the roofing projects within or below the estimated labor and material totals while upholding Roof Depot’s high safety and quality standards. They communicate with the project manager, associates, vendors, and clients. They work to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met

• Must be able to identify potential problems before they arise and determine and implement effective solutions

• Must ensure that all materials, equipment, and tools are order, delivered, accounted for at each project

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule associates. Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs. Mentor and train associates.

• Effectively communicate with associates, management, vendors, and clients.

• Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues

Required Skills/Competencies:

•Must have knowledge and experience with multiple roofing systems (Shingle, Metal, Tile, and TPO roofing systems)

•Good verbal and written communication skills

•Excellent Organizational Skills, detailed-oriented, self-motivator, and can follow orders

•Must speak English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus)

•Ability to work under pressure

•Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test

Education and Experience:

•High school diploma, GED or equivalent

•At least 3-4 years of experience in building/roofing trade required

•OSHA 10 Hour, and Equipment Certifications as required must be obtained within first 60 days of employment

•First Aid/CPR Certification is a plus; may be required to obtain certification
