Customer Service Representative - HYBRID ABILITIES

Immediate Interviews

$20-22/hr (depending on experience)

Stable and growing company located in Northbrook is seeking a Customer Service Representative on a contract-to-hire basis who can work in a fast-paced environment to join their team The ideal candidate for this role has a great phone presence, tech savvy, and a growth mindset. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the handling of customer orders, returns, requests, suggestions, complaints and credit support processing
  • Enters orders and confirms orders via email or phone
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate daily shipment processing, product scheduling, and shipment confirmations
  • Responsible for investigating and responding to customer requests concerning stock availability, order expediting, pricing, special items, as well as preferred carriers, special packaging and shipping criteria

  • Establishes and maintains cordial customer relations through telephone contact
  • Interacts with various departments such as Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Marketing, Logistics, etc., to ensure customer requirements are met

  • Maintains pricing agreements for the designated business unit

  • Maintains communication network with outside sales force as it pertains to assigned accounts

  • Performs weekly review of open orders and credit status for assigned accounts

  • Enhance customer relations through account visits and trade-show participation

Job Requirements:

  • Year(s) of Experience: 6+ months of corporate customer service
  • Industry: must be from a product-based environment
  • Education: HS Degree
  • Software: Microsoft Office, ERP experience
