Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Job Summary Statement
Assist with day-to-day activities within New Leaf Builders’ Purchasing & Estimating Department. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for trade partners regarding Purchase Order/Work Order concerns and PO correction requests. Additionally, this position will serve as the primary point of contact for ITK (purchasing software platform).

Key Accountabilities (100% of the work week):

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for trade partners within the P&E Department.
    • Research requests for PO corrections by determining whether or not an expense is legitimate and take appropriate action.
    • Process VPOs daily, as required. Update master takeoffs and contract pricing as required, in an effort to remedy errors/take preventative measures.
    • Serve as primary vendor contact related to Purchase Order questions, and serve as point of contact for resolution of conflicting information between plans, POs/WOs, and selections.
  2. Create and Maintain Master Specifications, Material Takeoffs, and Contract Pricing.
    • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Master Specifications.
    • Create parts, request and load vendor prices, and complete material takeoffs as required for base-house, elevations, and structural/design options. Create and modify upgrade options as needed.
  3. Set up options in MarkSystems (Purchasing & Builder Software)
    • Create new options as needed, including loading the takeoff(s) and/or contract pricing, and publishing it to sales.
  4. IHMS and ITK Support.
    • Set up, train, and serve as primary trade partner contact for ITK website (including vender portal, customer portal, and lender portal).
    • Conduct training sessions; develop and maintain ITK training manuals, and answer questions from co-workers and trade partners regarding ITK use.
  5. Production Department Support
    • Provide New Leaf Project Managers support via email and phone with regard to contact information, field-initiated vendor changes (PO vendor changes)

Requirements:

  • Possess 1 or more years of related experience in the home building industry.
  • Successfully complete IHMS training within 60 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and manage accordingly.
