The Donations Supervisor will supervise donation attendants at donation sites to ensure that Goodwill policies and procedures are followed. The Donation Supervisor is responsible for the intake of donated items, making sure that the items are properly received and ensuring that proper customer service is provided to donors.

What You Will Do:

  • Keep proper levels of staffing at all donation sites.
  • Oversee the process of accepting donated goods.
  • Conduct constant visits to sites to assure standard operating procedures and policies and are followed
  • Ensure donation logs are kept and updated
  • Ensure physical upkeep of all donation sites
  • Prepare weekly schedule for all sites
  • Records payroll hours accurately
  • Collect, review and house all donation logs jewelry , daily donation status, weekly reports and sorting log
  • Distributes, collects, and submit needed logs/reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain and order all supplies at all donation sites
  • Schedule maintenance of donation sites
  • Visit donation sites on a regular basis to ensure the quality of service provided to donors meet agency standards
  • Assist Manager in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteers
  • Attend needed training to improve job skills
  • Supervise, monitor, and document Donation Clerks job performance, including coaching, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for requesting, interviewing, and hiring of staff.
  • Performs formal and informal corrective action activities, including terminations.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to The Role:

  • High School education or Equivalent preferred.
  • (2) years of donation and/or customer service experience in a retail environment
  • Previous experience in customer service, communication and dealing with a diverse public
  • Recognize recyclable materials
  • Read and write legibly
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Valid California Driver License
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than ones own, able to work effectively with all.
