You will:

  • Be a trusted technical advisor to customers by engaging with them on a regular basis in order to understand status, challenges, and trends to remove commercial roadblocks
  • Conduct regular meetings with prospects to discuss progress towards identified technical milestones and provide enablement on Particle best practices and platform value
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to produce an Account Plan combining commercial and technical milestones for each opportunity you support
  • Actively master the Particle platform by building and sharing external-facing projects and demonstrations
  • Deliver platform demos and customer PoCs for early-stage Strategic opportunities
  • Invest in and maintain relationships with Particle partners through customer projects
  • Collaborate with the SA and TAM team to represent the "voice of the customer" and drive improvements to Particle's product offering
  • Communicate your process, status, and proposed solutions in a clear, concise way

You have:

  • 2-3 years experience in a Sales Engineer role in IoT or a related field
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or similar (Software, Systems, Industrial Engineering) as related to a subset of the following:
    • Hardware design (EE, PCB design, hardware architecture, end-product certification)
    • Embedded software (software applications in C++ or other lower-level languages)
    • Telecommunications (strong focus on cellular — RF to modem AT commands to infrastructure. Other applicable skills include development experience with BLE, LoRaWAN, or WiFi-connected products)
    • Embedded firmware (application development in C++)
    • Cellular connectivity (AT commands, RF principles)
  • Phenomenal communication skills, especially in technical customer-facing contexts
