  • The Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely preparation and analysis of the financial statements, accurate general ledger balances, supporting schedules, grant reporting and budget analysis.

Schedule:

Location:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance from four-year college or university

Experience:

  • 5+ years related accounting/finance experience

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Five years of experience with progressive responsibility in the accounting and healthcare industries
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Ability to work independently and with professional discretion
  • Proficiency in Windows, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and a Microsoft Dynamics finance system

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • At least 21 years old

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate journal entries in accordance to GAAP
  • Create and distribute accurate and timely financial statements
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, variances are researched and resolved timely
  • Identify financial statement variances and/or trends, review general ledger activity, document variance explanations and provide input to management
  • Assist with financial audit work paper preparation
  • Generate grant invoices and reporting
  • Assist with the review and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures that enhance controls and efficiencies 2 REV 06.2.18
  • Maintain written accounting procedures and write new procedures as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
