Senior Financial Analyst

The City of Olathe is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead complex financial analysis and long-term planning for our internal service and enterprise funds. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for Workday enterprise management, collaborating with key teams on reporting and financial performance. With opportunities to drive special projects and enhance our financial systems and models, this is your chance to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage internal service funds, collaborating with key staff and overseeing long-term financial planning and financial performance.
  • Serve as the central finance expert in the enterprise utility funds, facilitating utility rate modeling through collaboration with key personnel in Infrastructure.
  • Facilitate Workday reporting and configuration needs on behalf of the Finance division, including resolving Workday helpdesk tickets that fall to the responsibility of Finance.
  • Assist with special projects within the Finance Department and provide support to various teams and departments during periods of high workloads.
Qualifications

At least five years of experience analyzing financial data is required. Previous experience with Workday enterprise management is preferred. A master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or public administration is required. Certifications in specific Workday processes or Workday Pro are strongly preferred.
