Job DescriptionJob Description

LHH has an immediate Senior Accountant search with a KC based company.

In this role you will work closely with leadership to optimize policies and procedures across accounting operations to include but not limited to; Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Tax, Purchase Orders, and Inventory.

This role requires expertise in accounting principles and a focus on improving financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current accounting practices and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures for operational accounting functions.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Prepare and review financial reports related to AP, AR, payroll, tax, purchase orders, and inventory.

  • Conduct detailed analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting

  • Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
