Position Overview:

The People Partner will drive forward J & J’s mission and core values as a true HR partner working with the business in a highly cross-functional role. The People Partner will run the daily functions of HR and partner closely with their assigned business units. They will partner with peers and other members of the People team to align HR priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both strategic and tactical HR support and programs to employees and managers, including performance management, organizational design, learning, total rewards, employee relations, employee benefits programs and HR compliance

· Build and sustain strong business relationships with internal clients.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, regulations and best practices.

· Support leaders in goal setting, performance management and compensation review processes.

· Use a data driven approach to operation and strategic reporting and analytics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR offerings.

· Partner with managers and employees regarding leaved of absence and accommodation requests

  • Coach managers to encourage higher performance, accountability and people development leveraging internal learning tools and resources as development opportunities for the team.

· Initiate and lead HR projects.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a HR business partner or other HR roles including coaching, total rewards, employee relations, compensation, and HR project management or program implementation experience
  • Experience in scaling companies during growth stage.
  • Customer service attitude and a focus on providing excellent support to internal employees.
  • Ability to set high personal goals and work independently.
  • Thorough understanding and hands- on application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Ability to foster an inclusive work environment

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

· High level of computer literacy

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once.

· Excellent Administrative and computer skills particularly with MS Office applications (word, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, outlook)

  • Must be able to relate well with all levels of organization.

· Strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • Knowledgeable of Compliance with federal & state employment laws, benefits administration, payroll, recruitment, on-boarding and employee relations

· Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
