WHITAKER BANK HR MARKET SUPERVISOR POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Market Supervisor is tasked with executing a range of essential human resources clerical responsibilities. This includes preparing documentation for new hires, conducting orientation sessions for incoming employees, processing time cards, managing correspondence, compiling data for management reports, maintaining organized files, ordering necessary supplies, and addressing employee inquiries. This position is crucial in providing HR support to assigned markets and managing various HR functions effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Participate in the interview process for market openings.
2. Prepare documentation for new hires and related insurance forms.
3. Conduct orientation sessions to ensure new employees complete onboarding paperwork.
4. Process employee time cards, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and assist in payroll preparation.
5. Draft and distribute internal communications and letters to staff.
6. Enhance employee retention through morale-boosting initiatives.
7. Collect and analyze data to prepare various reports for management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
8. Provide excellent employee service and relations, assisting in resolving inquiries and issues.
9. Maintain confidentiality and manage employee records with precision.
10. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and reports efficiently.
11. Perform routine clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, and supply management.
12. Travel to various branches, fostering a positive atmosphere and addressing HR-related questions.
13. Uphold professional conduct and represent the organization positively in all interactions.
14. Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies, promoting a diverse and respectful workplace.
15. Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and relevant laws and regulations.
16. Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner, supporting the organization's goals.
17. Perform duties safely, reporting any potential hazards, and comply with occupational safety standards.
ADDITIONAL DUTIESThe HR Market Supervisor may perform specific duties related to the position and other tasks as assigned.
SUPERVISORY ROLEThis position does not involve supervising other employees.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe role is primarily office-based, allowing for mobility within the workspace. It may require driving a vehicle, exposing the incumbent to various weather conditions and minor distractions.
Physical activities include writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and various forms of movement.
Equipment used may include telephones, computers, printers, and other office machinery.
MENTAL DEMANDSThe incumbent must be adept at reading, problem-solving, and managing multiple tasks while maintaining effective communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGeneral guidelines for the role include:
· An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
· Basic understanding of human resources and labor regulations.
· Strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive employee matters.
· Familiarity with general office procedures.
· Preferred SHRM-CP certification.
· At least one year of experience in human resource management is preferred.
· Proficiency in computer operations and software applications.
· Basic typing and mathematical skills.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for travel.
