CARE | Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency is a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty Referral Hospital in Charlotte, NC that offers its employees a fun company culture, supportive work environment, excellent benefits, and opportunities for growth Board-certified specialty services offered include internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, and ophthalmology. Our advanced diagnostic services include ultrasonography and echocardiography, electroencephalography, endoscopy, rapid-scan CT imaging, high field MRI, and cardio cath lab, in addition to many others. 

CARE is seeking talented Registered Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join our team If you are looking to work alongside experienced Veterinarians who value the crucial role an RVT or Assistant plays in the patient and client experience, CARE is the place for you

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of veterinary technician experience is required. 
  • Due to the nature of Critical Care (think ER on steroids) we are requiring someone with extensive ER experience. 
  • Provides compassionate care to patients
  • Skilled venipuncture/ phlebotomy
  • Ability to safely induce, maintain and monitor critical patients under anesthesia.
  • Skilled at digital radiology acquisition
  • Knowledge of automated laboratory lab analyzers
  • Knowledge of manual laboratory assay
  • Able to lift 40lbs unassisted
  • Able to safely restrain patients for extended periods of time

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the criticalist in all aspects of care
  • Administer IV, IM, SQ and oral medications
  • Assist in physical exams
  • Provide compassionate customer service to our clients
  • Client education
  • More duties as assigned
