Our state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities encompass ultrasonography, echocardiography, electroencephalography, endoscopy, rapid-scan CT imaging, high field MRI, and more.
We are currently seeking skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to enhance our Emergency team. If you are eager to collaborate with experienced Emergency Veterinarians who recognize the vital contributions of RVTs and Assistants to patient and client care, this is the ideal environment for you. Emergency technicians will be tasked with triaging and supporting our ER doctors in managing both intake and outpatient emergency cases.
Available Shifts:
- Day Shift: 6 AM to 4 PM
- Work 2 days, enjoy 2 days off, work 5 days, and then have 5 days off.
- All offered schedules are full-time, with opportunities for overtime and potential bonuses for additional shifts.
- As a 24/7 facility, availability for some holidays and weekends is required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician is essential.
- RVT certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Emotionally intelligent and capable of critical thinking.
- Able to safely restrain patients for extended periods.
- Proficient in technology, including electronic medical record systems and automated lab analyzers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in all facets of patient care.
- Deliver advanced nursing care with compassion.
- Perform venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, saphenous).
- Execute IV catheter placements.
- Conduct automated and manual laboratory analyses.
- Utilize digital radiology.
- Triage patients and anticipate the needs of veterinarians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage anesthesia induction, endotracheal intubation, and monitoring.
- Provide compassionate customer service to clients.
- Perform medical calculations as needed.
