McCO specializes in supporting U.S. federal customers with internationally and thematically focused portfolios by designing and delivering bespoke professional training programs, effective capacity building programs, and by providing highly specialized advisory and analysis expertise to decision makers.
McCO issues this call for CVs for tactical skills trainers/instructors for opportunities contingent upon anticipated contract awards.
DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
McCO seeks to broaden our bench of tactical trainers/instructors for anticipated contract awards with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, and USAID.
Candidates should have knowledge of one or more of the following tactical areas:
- Situational awareness, risk management, and threat prevention
- Hostile environment first aid and austere emergency medical services
- Defensive and offensive driving skills
- Basic firearms/weapons skills
- Essential self-defense
- Explosives/hazardous materials
- Resiliency and stress management
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide expertise as a trainer/instructor in one of the areas listed above combined with proven training delivery for work described in the program/task.
- Lead instructional design and delivery of curriculum.
- Provide advice on complex training issues and problems that require a detailed knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
- Develop assessment and evaluation criteria for achieving program results.
- Develop reports, studies, and related documentation for training applications
- Deliver presentations and briefings to support program development.
Requirements
Required personnel shall have expertise in any of following areas:
- Military or police related training in law enforcement, combat operations, force protection, and/or close protection.
- Additional certified skills in armament, signals and field medic/paramedic care will be highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training in their tactical area of expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in leading security, force protection, civilian evacuation missions either as a member of the national armed forces or on behalf of an internationally recognized private sector corporation or of a world-class international organization.
- Experience in crisis/conflict-affected countries.
- Dynamic, efficient communicator, effective team player, results-driven, customer service oriented, analytical skills, and ability to work cross-functionally and under pressure.
- Competence in the use of standard software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Be able to communicate and write effectively in English, with a working knowledge of other languages preferred.

McCO offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to all of our staff. Compensation is offered according to job requirements, available budget, and experience/skills of the successful candidate. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurances, generous Paid Time Off, 11 paid federal holidays, and annual performance bonuses. Personnel hired to fill contract staffing roles may also be eligible for end of project retention bonuses when they perform successfully and remain on board through project closeout.
