As a member of the UBI team, this position is responsible for assisting the V.P. Branch Manager or S.V.P. Regional Branch Manager with the efficient, effective management of a branch bank. Sees that profit objectives are met while maintaining desired objectives of quality, financial integrity and corporate responsibility. Utilizes extensive knowledge of banking operations to develop an organization that takes full advantage of long range potentials. Supervises and directs day-to-day retail banking activities. Assists and directs all bank personnel involved with loan activities in the branch to achieve the bank's desired loan department results. Develops and services a portfolio of loan accounts. Aggressively sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to enhance bank earnings and the bank's image within the community.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science or Arts with a major in business or related field; or 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
Strong writing skills to compose moderately complex correspondence and reports.
Strong verbal skills to effectively present information to customers, employees, and senior managers in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate amounts such as interest, discounts, and percentages and interpret complex financial reports.
REASONING ABILITY:
Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures.
Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Understand and apply standardized banking, lending, and marketing concepts and principles
Recognize and resolve a wide variety of practical problems involving common sense judgment, tact, and on-the-spot decisions.
OTHER SKILLS:
Ability to work independently AND collaborate within a team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently by building and nurturing strong relationships with other UBI team members.
Problem solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with employees, senior managers, and customers.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Credit insurance license from the State of Iowa.
SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm with additional hours as needed.
