ZACH is a non-profit organization that creates intimate theatre experiences that ignite the imagination, inspire the spirit, and engage the community. As Austin’s leading professional producing theatre, ZACH employs more than 250 actors, musicians, and designers annually to create its own diverse array of nationally recognized plays and musicals that are timely and relevant to Central Texas audiences, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Dave Steakley and Managing Director Jamie Herlich.


The Education Registrar assists with administrative duties across the Education Department with the primary focus on processing class and camp registrations, communications with external constituents and internal team members, data entry and management and reporting. Additionally, the registrar will help supervise Academy students and support Teaching Artists as needed. The registrar will perform the following essential functions while providing efficient and friendly service to staff, parents, community, and visitors of ZACH Theatre.


This is a part-time, non-exempt position working approximately 20-25 hours per week.


Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Register students for camps and classes for all our campuses, assisting parents with FAQs and troubleshooting
  • Assist with answering emails and parent communications, providing professional, timely, and courteous customer service
  • Provide administrative support for all classes and camps, collaborating with team members across sites as needed
  • Process and manage records and payments in the database
  • Support tracking of scholarship requests, awards, and other related correspondence
  • Maintain a tracking system of invoicing, installment payment plans, following-up with parents and guardians regarding payment needs, and communicating with the finance department about progress regularly
  • Document management and retention of student records
  • Attend trainings as requested
  • Collaborate on scheduling and calendaring of classes, camps, and other educational events
  • Assist with supervision of Academy students on a part-time basis which includes being in the room with them while they complete independent work
  • Supervise and assist downtown teachers with Saturday classes during the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Perform other administrative and clerical work as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma (required); BA in Theatre or Education (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of education, theatre, or customer service experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of basic computer software and database systems
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service

This is an on-site, campus-based role.
