Position Summary

This position provides technical support in the Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security Department to support the current site and potential expansion.

Essential Job Functions

The EHS&S Delivery Technician will provide support for the EHS&S function for the Lotte Westlake Site

  • Provide support to the Emergency Response Advisor with monthly documented inspections of Fire Extinguishers, Deluge Systems, Sprinkler Systems, Medical Supplies, Fire Truck, SCBA’s and Rescue/HazMat Supplies.
  • Participate in Emergency Response Groups response to plant wide emergencies.
  • Provide on-site Emergency Medical care for employees/contractors on site.
  • Provide support to the Safety Advisor with permitting of Hot Work, Confined Space, etc. and when requested.
  • Provide support to the Safety Advisor with daily, weekly and monthly field audits and inspections.
  • Provide support to Operations/Maintenance/Contractors with guidance on OSHA Regulations and Site Procedures.
  • Assist contract Security personnel as needed.
  • Provide support to the Environmental Advisor with daily, weekly and monthly field audits and inspections.
  • Provide support to the Occupational Health Advisor with PPE Inventory, Quarterly/Annual Personal monitoring and Area monitoring for noise and chemical exposure.
  • Drive site-wide compliance for all EHH&S policies and procedures for the site.
  • Provides safety training on assigned subjects as required
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining Permit to Work program
  • Maintains relevant EHSS logs and documentation as requested or required
  • Assists with selection of PPE for specific tasks
  • Assists with industrial hygiene monitoring activities
  • Works with EHSS team members to inspect and service emergency response and safety critical equipment
  • Participates in pre-startup and turn-around safety reviews and management of change process
  • Monitors tasks that require advanced PPE
  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EHSS principles and values; champions safety
  • Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position

Experience Requirement

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience EHS&S related work and/or operations.
  • Basic knowledge OSHA compliance and permit to work system.
  • Basic knowledge of Emergency Management System. First Responder or greater. EMT preferred.
  • Basic First Aid, CPR, Process Safety Management, Respiratory Protection, Industrial Hygiene and HazMat.
  • Detail oriented; self-motivated; excellent time-management and planning; exceptional organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and good technical writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
  • Sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Fluent in English language including reading, writing, and speaking; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in organization

Education Requirement

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health, safety or related field preferred
  • Certifications in areas of safety, PPE, permits, etc. helpful
