As a Strategic Account Director, you will be providing strategic leadership and oversight to our largest key accounts and clients.  An appreciation for technology, obsession over customer experience, and depth marketing and agency experience, is a great mix for the ideal candidate.  Are you an independent, self-assured, and diplomatically charming individual? YOUR ROLE

With your leadership, you will:
  • Provide Account Leadership – Growth Focus
 
    • Be the sole leader and owner of assigned account territory in terms of retention, growth and overall vision for success.
    • Own your assigned quota for growth and effectively and proactively plan for how you will achieve the goals.
    • Proactively develop roadmap for exponential account growth, focusing on taking our business and client relationships to the next level
    • Work with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identify/implement marketing and content solutions to help achieve client goals.
    • Develop, design, and create solution options that paint a vision of what is possible for the client.
    • Proactively drive account strategy, planning, and tactics to monitor account health, develop growth opportunities and manage profitability by project.
    • Pitch all Indigo Slate offerings with a broad knowledge and understanding of the Creative, Marketing, and Technology offerings.
    • Act as the main Strategic POC for clients in assigned accounts, ensuring quality and excellence of all deliverables and touchpoints.
 
  • Build and Grow Client Relationships
 
    • Understand clients' business and generate new ideas to enhance client performance.
    • Builds trust, credibility, and client referrals, as well as developing multi-tiered client relationships and connections.
    • Actively pursues new projects from client contacts via status calls and/or regular face-to-face meetings.
    • Keeps apprised of client products/services/marketing developments that may be relevant to the team.
    • Be a trusted partner and advocate for assigned clients.
 
  • Effectively Lead Team
    • Lead a team of Account Directors and Account Managers within assigned account territory to effectively carry out goals and activities of assigned account, projects and programs.
    • Work cross collaboratively with team of SMEs to strategize and develop pitches, proposals and RFPs/RFIs and play lead role in all meetings, internal and external.
    • Foster teamwork and a constructive work environment through coaching and mentoring.
    • Provide team leadership that rewards creativity and collaboration across disciplines.
    • Own the scoping and estimation of projects as well as project briefing for internal team and/or provider leadership and oversight to Account Director/Manager to conduct tasks to expectation.
    • Own growth, profitability and CSAT metrics for assigned account territory and hold all team members accountable to the same.
 
  • Drive Against Stated Business Objectives
 
    • Works with delivery team leads to develop new client proposals and pitches and achieve client targets.
    • Maintains or improves account profitability.
    • Manage and drive pipeline activities as well as update, track and monitor the opportunity pipeline for the Account and Leadership teams.
    • Owns revenue retention and growth targets for account.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Approximately 7-10+ years of related industry experience, preferably at a creative or marketing/advertising agency
  • Preferred experience working with clients in the Technology space.
  • Dynamic leadership skills that can be applied to the internal team and clients.
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service.
  • Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization.
  • Experience owning revenue/quota target and executing growth plans to achievement level.

  • Strong knowledge or experience in marketing agency account management/coordination, technology solutions, client/campaign strategy, B2B and/or B2C marketing, design thinking, and product marketing/management.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams/disciplines and aligning key stakeholder to the broader client/account vision and goals.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Confident leader who can effectively navigate challenging situations with client and/or internal teams to achieve a positive outcome and team morale.
  • History of achieving and exceeding performance metrics; emphasis on revenue and CSAT targets

Pay Range - USD 135,000 to USD 160,000 per annum base plus incentive - depending on experience and location.
