As part of a unique and highly skilled team, you'll participate in building the road to space. You will join the Finance leadership team and partner with the Executive team of a complex, rapidly growing Business Unit to provide executive financial leadership driving performance improvement and predictability while building a best-in-class business. In this hands-on role, you will provide executive financial leadership driving performance improvement and predictability. We are seeking a proactive, detailed, and service-oriented leader with excellent financial skill, analytical ability, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment and handles ambiguity with confidence. This role will provide critical financial insights and analysis to business leaders and influence operating and strategic decisions. These decision areas include research and development and capital investments, mission objectives, schedule performance, new business opportunities, and product and service pricing. You'll be tasked with building the financial infrastructure and a scalable finance function that has the right people, processes, and tools to enable growth. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, commitment to quality, and superb leadership skills to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead an impactful team of leaders and individual contributors; establish a clear team and individual objectives, support performance and career development, and team engagement Ability effectively lead multiple, large-scale projects Excellent communicator; can articulate complex concepts to a diverse technical and non-technical audience A hands-on leader, with a team-centered orientation, and prioritizes collaboration with visibility in problem-solving Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company's long term goals Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to implement finance business initiatives Analyze data and methods to improve the company's delivery of products and services Facilitate change by seeking opportunities to transform or improve systems, processes, and business intelligence Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations Participate in financial due diligence and lead financial integration of mergers and acquisitions Qualifications: Bachelor or graduate degree in a relevant field 15+ years of Finance experience including experience in research and development industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar. Significant and progressive people management experience; mentoring and coaching both financial and non-financial staff Experience supporting research and development programs.
