Overview

The Community Choice Financial® Family of Brands is seeking a Manager of Portfolio Analytics to join our team and design, develop, and maintain complex statistical models that support pricing, credit risk, and collections. In this role, you will be required to collect and analyze large sets of data, build models, design experiments, and make recommendations to manage customer risk, maximize revenue, improve margins, and create significant value for the business.


Responsibilities

  • Develop credit strategies to improve the credit performance by using data, machine learning models and advanced analytics tools to optimize risk decisions.
  • Continue to innovate by testing new data, analytics approaches and models.
  • Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis. Identify trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance driver.
  • Measure how change to origination credit policy and lending environment can impact loan volume as well as overall credit performance.
  • Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in origination trends and portfolio performance to management.
  • Bring innovative/out of the box thinking to make recommendations and to approaching/solving problems.
  • Design A/B tests and understand the risk-return trade-offs.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Collections, Remarketing, and Information Technology teams to implement strategies and monitor the strategy performance.
  • Summarize analysis and communicate information to various levels of management.
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
  • This is a full-time role that requires in-person attendance during normal business hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Advanced degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • 4+ years of data and strategic analytics experience with proven ability to make data-driven recommendations to improve overall company performance and boost year end results, with an awareness of applicable behaviors/levers to achieve these results
  • Able to quickly build rapport and establish a reputation for being a trusted colleague and business advisor
  • Strong SQL coding experience for data mining and experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Experience in Financial Services and Subprime Lending preferred.
  • Ability to conduct extensive data research and handle large datasets
  • Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly & concisely, in both written & oral formats
