General Summary

Serve our membership by coordinating the servicing function of all consumer loans. Assist internal and external members with the loan documentation process to ensure all proper documentation is present and the credit union objectives are achieved.

Essential Functions

  • Verify and examine information and accuracy of loan applications and closing documents from all Consumer Loan Officers at all credit union locations.
  • Assemble and compile documents for loan files and follow up w/ Loan Officer to correct errors, such as title abstracts, insurance forms, loan forms, and tax receipts.
  • Answer questions and advise members and associates regarding loans and transactions on existing accounts.
  • Audit consumer loans and all other loan documentation (i.e. loan modifications, loan extensions, etc.) to ensure all state, federal and credit union regulations and procedures are properly followed to ensure compliance.
  • Record applications for loan and credit, loan information, and disbursements of funds, using credit union’s loan processing and core systems including indirect auto lending.
  • Prepare and process required updates at various internals for open-end credit.
  • Present various loan reports for credit union officers and management review.

  • Track, monitor and complete all functions to ensure perfected liens on titles occur, securing collateral for the credit union. Also releasing of title liens when paid off and satisfied.

  • Organize consumer loan files, follow record retention guidelines and ensure the lending vault is kept in an organized manner.

  • Assist members with loan payment arrangements and prepare payment notifications.

  • Help analyze needs and changes in the credit union to maintain and increase member expectations along with creating potential new methods for efficiency or products for members.

  • Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.

  • Assist in other areas/departments of the credit union, including the Saturday rotation.

  • Scan in Credit Solutions documentation, scan in credit card documentation.

Additional Functions

  • Actively support our sales and service culture and demonstrate these skills by communicating to members the benefits and features of all our products and services.

  • Develop the knowledge and maintain the ability to cross sell all credit union products/services to provide financial needs for new and current members.

  • Assist in other areas as directed by credit union management.
  • Maintain members’ & associates’ confidentiality.
  • Complete in-house training as required for this position.
  • Develop a working knowledge of loan processing and core computer systems utilized by the credit union.

Job Specifications

  • Previous consumer loan administration, servicing or banking experience.
  • Requires a high degree of accuracy, organizational skills and working knowledge of lending products.
  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills and projecting a positive attitude/image as a representative of the credit union in all activities.
