JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Employment: Part-Time

Pay Range: $21.10 - $24.13 / hour

Reports To: Operations Director

Work Hours: Part-Time; 20 hours/week; Monday-Thursday 10:00am-3:00pm

SUMMARY

As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide internal IT support for all RBBB employees and the Board. This role is responsible for managing and addressing IT inquiries and incident issues including investigation, problem identification and resolution. The IT Support Specialist reports to the Operations Director, executing specific consistent process steps, analysis and problem solving.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and maintain the onboarding and offboarding of all new staff to include training on computer use and software systems.
  • Perform hardware/software installations and upgrades, train staff on new software and features, and provide end user support.
  • Provide telephone, in-person, and remote support to end-user.
  • Install and sustain hardware and software at industry standards.
  • Assess and troubleshoot issues associated with network infrastructure and systems software and hardware and propose solutions.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting and issue remediation.
  • Assist with administering user access to RBBB systems.
  • Oversee inventory management of all hardware; assist with inventory management of software
  • Oversee Office 365 software and integration to optimize key features.
  • Participate in facilitating IT projects and goals.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to IT Manager.
  • Assist IT Manager, as needed.
  • Maintain and update organization's IT manual.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned that are required of the employee in this job. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and Plans
  • Excellent customer service and people skills with both team members and senior level personnel (interaction with end users)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (installations and troubleshooting)
  • Peripheral support (printers and scanners)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and manage large amounts of tasks, materials and information
  • Able to prioritize and efficiently manage time
  • Expert understanding of Office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite, as an administrator
  • Ability to work independently, but also with direction and cross departmentally
  • Ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the Read Better Be Better organization, vision, mission, and values

PREFERRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior administration experience with/knowledge of:
  • Inventory management system
  • Apple Business Manager
  • Salesforce
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • (3) three years of experience in an IT support, or IT help desk role
  • (3) three years of experience in server operations
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with PC and Apple computers
  • Experience in data security processes and procedures to mitigate risk
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or a directly related field

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is an in-person position, operating in a professional office environment.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to be stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move materials up to 60 lbs.
