Our Approach

At Workweek, we build brands and audiences in specialized B2B sectors by providing expert content crafted by industry practitioners who actually do the job. • Translate business problems into actionable steps suited to the right solution (reports, dashboards, ad-hoc analysis)
  • Manage and prioritize multiple data projects in an autonomous manner with the awareness to know when a blocker needs a fresh perspective from a coworker
  • Democratize data and insights through powerful data structuring and concise visualizations
  • Contribute across our data stack and ELT pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other data team members to refine and optimize our best practices, whether that’s in our transformation layer, BI presentations, documentation, PR guidelines, etc.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • 2 - 5+ years of working on data analytics or data science teams where you liaised with business partners, generated insights that drove decision-making, and developed tools that surfaced data and trends for partners throughout the company
  • 2 - 5+ years of experience applying statistics to strategic problems
  • Mastery of SQL and experience Google Bigquery, Snowflake, or other big data environments
  • 2 - 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Mode

Nice to haves include:

  • Fluency in R or Python, and popular data manipulation and analysis packages (tidyverse, numpy, pandas)
  • Mastery with Github and related workflows (version control, code review)
  • Mastery with dbt or another data transformation tool
  • Mastery with LookML
Benefits
  • Competitive pay (we don't pay based on location, we assign value to the role)
  • Equity in Workweek
  • Remote operations with the ability to work in the time zone of your choice (or work IRL in our Austin, TX or New York City)
  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum of 3 days/quarter used
  • 100% health insurance coverage, 75% coverage for dependents, and $150/month towards an HSA (or $150/month health stipend if insurance not used)
  • 120 days of parental leave to use within one year of childbirth (available 12 months after your start date and only available every 365 days)
  • 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match
  • $500 one-time stipend for any home office needs
  • 5-week sabbatical after 4 years on staff
  • 2 volunteering days per year
  • 1x/year in-person team retreat
  • $100/month book stipend
  • Want to start a new company? We will be the first investor in your startup if you’ve been with Workweek for 3 years

Note: At Workweek, we’re passionate about building a diverse team. We care deeply about diversity, equality, and inclusion and strive to build a culture where everyone, from any background, feels included, supported, and free to be themselves.

If your experience is this close to what we’re looking for, please consider applying. Experience comes in many forms – skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way.
