LOCATION: Troy, AL

PAY RATE: $34.00 - $50.00 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to lead investigations into product discrepancies, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair (SRR) as well as customer quality escapes. The role requires ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

The candidate must excel in a customer-focused environment, effectively communicating with internal/external customers, including DCMA (US Department of Defense). Coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement on quality issues is essential, along with supporting product safety and EH&S initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling messages at all organizational levels.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.

  • Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.

  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, focusing on root cause analysis, mistake-proofing, and project management.
