DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with workforce development and career training for populations like the District’s Customers.
  • Provide excellent coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills.
  • Prepare Customers for employment through classroom instruction. By creatively mixing the training topics and modes of delivery, the Employment Specialist shall be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment whereby Customers continue to remain motivated throughout the employment preparation process.

REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult learning, workforce development, career training or other employment related field.
  • Prior experience working with populations like the District’s Customers.
  • Proficient at facilitation and coaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication.
  • Computer literate; able to create stimulating learning environments and keep Customers engaged.
  • Sound understanding of key activities that Customers must complete to successfully gain and retain employment.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Mon. – Fri.  8:30am – 5pm
