Service Champions is looking for a dynamic, career-minded HVAC Service Technician/ Maintenance Tech 2 to join our team of highly trained and skilled HVAC Technicians. The successful candidate must have experience with all types of residential HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates. $$ Competitive Pay & Performance Bonus Pay – No cap on commissions $$

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on air conditioning systems, furnaces, coils, and compressors
  • Sheet metal installation and modification as needed
  • Demonstrate Respect and Compassion when communicating with clients on work performed
  • Document service performed by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with Service Champions quality and safety standards
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external)
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and unexpected events

Qualifications:

  • 4 years+ of Residential HVAC Service experience
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong judgment skills to make sound business decisions and resolve issues.
  • Ability to represent Service Champions in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public
  • Good communicator - works well with different customers and office personality styles.
  • Must have valid drivers' license and a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Physical Requirements:

  • The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.
  • Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.
  • Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.
  • Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).
  • May work in closed or cramped spaces on occasion.
